Legislative SeminaR - Tuesday, October 5th 9:30am-11:00am

Legislative Seminar: Making the Most of Your Voice.  During this session, Angels will hear from Members of Congress and staff from key Congressional committees about which foster care and adoption related issues are pending before Congress and what they might do to affect them.  Total estimated time commitment: 90 minutes.

hill day: Meeting with members' offices - Tuesday, october 5th 11:00am-3:00pm

Angels in Adoption™ Hill Day.  Angels will participate in personal meetings with Members of Congress or their staff. CCAI is coordinating meetings between Members of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption and the Angels in Adoption™. We encourage Congressional offices to take advantage of the opportunity to meet one on one with the nation’s most active child welfare advocates and learn from their personal perspectives on adoption and foster care. Total estimated time commitment: 30 minutes.

Angels in Adoption™ Presentation of Pins is where Members of Congrses present Angels with a pin and certificate in a graduation style ceremony.  Members are invited to arrive at their convenience. Upon arrival, CCAI staff will escort them and their Angel in Adoption™ to the stage area for the certificate presentation. A formal photo opportunity will be available. Total estimated time commitment: 15 minutes.

Angels in Adoption^TM REception and gala - wednesday, october 6th 6:00pm-9:00pm

Angels in Adoption™ Reception and Gala at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. is where Angels in Adoption, Members of Congress and the Administration, and representatives from the adoption and foster care community gather for an adoption celebration.  During this dinner, National Angels are recognized for their outspoken advocacy for adoption. Members of Congress and their staff are cordially invited to be seated with their own Angels in Adoption™ at this event. Registration is required to guarantee seating.
