8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.  REgistration (Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel, 415 New Jersey Ave, NW)



10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  Adoption and foster care Fair (Capitol Campus, Room TBD)
During this session, Angels will have the chance to hear from representatives of national adoption and foster care advocacy organizations about their work and ways to get more involved.  Please note: space is limited.

 


12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.  Lunch on your own

 


2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.  Tour of the historic u.s. capitiol building (U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, Main Entrance)
Provided by the Capitol Visitor's Center, Angels are guided on a walking tour through the U.S. Capitol Building as well as shown a video presentation of the Capitol's rich history.  Please note: space is limited.

 


4:00 p.m. - 5:30 P.m. our nation's Capitol bus tour (U.S. Capitol Building, West Front Lawn)
Take a guided tour of our Nation's Capitol by bus.  A guide will lead the tour and provide detailed information on the buildings and the history that defines Washington, DC.  Please note: space is limited.


7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  ICe Cream social (Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel, 415 New Jersey Ave, NW)
During this session, Angels will have the chance to get to meet one another and learn more about their shared experiences and passions.  Please note: space is limited.

9:30 a.m. – 11:00 A.m.  Legislative Seminar: making the most of your voice (Capitol Campus, Room TBD)

During this session, Angels will hear from Members of Congress and the staff from key Congressional committees about what foster care and adoption related issues are pending before congress and what they might do to affect them.

 


11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  Hill Day (Capitol Campus, Locations Vary)
Angels will participate in personal meetings with Members of Congress or their staff.

 


4:00 P.M. – 5:30 p.m.  Welcome Reception (Only for Angels) (Tentative Event)
This reception gives Angels an opportunity to learn more about efforts of the federal government as a whole related to foster care and adoption issues.

9:00 A.m. – 11:00 A.m.  angels in adoption Pin ceremony SENATE (Only for Angels honored by a SENATOR) (Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room SD G-50)
Angels in Adoption™ Presentation of Pins is the most special time for the Angels in Adoption in which they are recognized in a graduation type ceremony by Members of Congress.  Each Angel is presented with a pin and certificate.  Breakfast will be served.

 


12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.  angels in adoption Pin ceremony HOUSE (only for angels honored by a REPRESENTATIVE) (Cannon House Office Building, Cannon Caucus Room)
Angels in Adoption™ Presentation of Pins is the most special time for the Angels in Adoption in which they are recognized in a graduation type ceremony by Members of Congress.  Each Angel is presented with a pin and certificate.  Lunch will be served.

 


6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.  Angels in Adoption REception and Gala (Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW)

Angels in Adoption™, Members of Congress and the Administration, and representatives from the adoption and foster care community gather for a celebration of the Angels and the children they helped to serve.  Please note: each Angel (whether individual, couple, or oganization) receives 2 complimentary tickets, and has the option to purchase tickets for additional guests.
